When the valves need to change ? Im working now on my R1 2013 and change pistons and cylinder did you recommended to change valves also?

did you lap the valves? Also when installing the rods back in does the orientation of them matter like do they have to be in the exact position they were pulled out from? or is it okay as long as it is the same valve going into the hole?

.i do the same job.i polish the exhaust ports,deck the head .clean the 45 degree angles at friends machine shop.and lap the valves,And use suzuki seals.And new head gasket

i have m50b25 engine, I am thinking about to put a crank chaft and rods of m54b30 with pistons from Opel Omega thay have a 86mm ,with modify original pistons and Remove some Millimeters from engine block, Afraid of high temperature and compression ratio, what do you think of the idea, what do you recommend?

From the times a car engine did not need a computer and 200 meters of wires and hoses to do the job. And you could actually service them yourself. These days you cant swap the oil filter without ripping half the engine apart.
